Lincoln, California, in Placer county, is 9 miles N of Roseville, California (center to center) and 24 miles NE of Sacramento, California. The city is conveniently located inside the Sacramento metropolitan area.

Lincoln History

Theodore Judah surveyed and laid the original town site in 1859 as per the proposed line of the California Central Railroad. The city of Lincoln was named after Charles Lincoln Wilson, a director and organizer of California Central Railroad. They established a rail link between Marysville and Sacramento in 1860. However, it was during the mid-1990s that the city started enjoying a period of vigorous growth and development.

Things To Do In Lincoln

Lincoln features excellent recreational services. The city is home to a softball complex, baseball field, soccer complex, football field, a number of amusement parks, golf courts, community centers, shopping areas and beautiful landscapes. The city also organizes a number of youth and adult programs.
