Estate Planning Series* (7 of 7): Plan to Reassess

Your Estate Planning Checklist Explained: Why It's Essential to Reassess Your Plan Regularly

Once you have your Estate Planned out,it isn’t a one and done thing (or maybe it

is?). To be sure, revisit your estate plan when your circumstances change:

  • Marriage

  • Divorce

  • Birth of a Child

  • Loss of a Loved One

  • Getting a New Job

  • Being Terminated

  • Birth of a Grandchild

Revisit your estate plan periodically, even if situations haven’t changed. Your

circumstances may not have changed, but laws sometimes do.

If you find you need to revise, a yearly review helps avoid an overhaul! And at

least you have one in place!
